| Answer: In Windows XP, there is a folder called Prefetch. This folder is basically a cache (dump) folder for Windows. Unnecessary data in this folder has been known to affect DVD burning by causing write errors.
If you open up the folder and delete the contents, this has been known to help to fix write errors. After you delete the contents, empty your Recycle Bin, and reboot. Then re-read the disc and begin the write process. |
