Question: Why might I receive an "Illegal Memory Access" error? [Email To a Friend] |
| Answer: This error is actually caused because Windows sometimes does not give back memory that is no longer being used as it should. Therefore, when a program tries to access that "free memory block", Windows still thinks that block of memory is still being used by another application; therefore, it generates the error, because it's violating the rules for protected memory usage. |
